Blanketing
Safety

Tank blanketing (or inerting) means maintaining a layer of inert gas —usually nitrogen— above the product stored in a tank to displace oxygen and prevent explosive atmospheres, product oxidation and moisture contamination. The system regulates gas inlet and venting, keeping a slight, constant overpressure in the tank vapour space even during filling, emptying and temperature changes. At Tecnovent we supply high-sensitivity blanketing valves and regulators for storage tanks in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries, safeguarding both tank integrity and product quality. We advise on system sizing according to tank volume and breathing flow rates.
