Pressure relief valve for LPG and NH3 Gases / Liquids

Safety · Pressure-Vacuum Valves

LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) and NH3 (ammonia) are products that may involve risks during transportation and storage. The vapor produced during storage and transportation must be carefully controlled. This can be done with special pressure relief valves specialized for these gases. Basically, there are two types of PRV for LPG and NH3: fully internal and semi-internal. In the case of fully internal ones, which are not affected by external damage, all PRV parts are embedded inside the tank. In this way, it is exposed directly to pressure from the inside and is not affected by any external intervention. When a vehicle transports LPG or NH3 and an accident occurs, the fully internal PRV helps keep the gas inside. It is mainly used for transportation. On the other hand, semi-internal pressure relief valves are mainly used in tanks storing LPG and NH3. Since these tanks are fixed and are not at risk of overturning, semi-internal PRVs are the most suitable solution for them. In fully internal PRVs, all materials are made of 316L stainless steel, the spring is stainless steel, and the gasket is made of Viton. This creates great compatibility between PRV parts and provides the best solution based on many years of experience. Fully internal PRVs are designed in 2″ and 3″ sizes. For fully internal PRVs, the upper body is produced from brass and the rest is stainless steel. As a result of our know-how based on engineering and design experience, we use the compatibility of brass and stainless steel in our designs. In this way, we ensure maximum strength without forgetting ease of use.
