Model 190 End-of-line, weight-loaded vacuum relief valve Gases / Liquids
Safety · Pressure-Vacuum Valves
The Storagetech Model 190 vacuum relief valve ensures that the pressure in a bulk storage tank does not fall below the safe operating range required to prevent implosion damage. It is installed on a tank roof flange or on piping connected to the vapor space of a storage tank. In the closed position, the weight-loaded pallet and diaphragm assembly are held tightly against a seal to prevent vapor loss to the atmosphere. As the internal tank pressure decreases due to emptying, the balance between tank pressure and external atmospheric pressure changes, and when the unit set pressure is reached, the diaphragm opens to admit air and rebalance the internal pressure. The opening set point can be selected within a range between +2.0 mbar and +60 mbar (+0.8 in. W.C. and +24 in. W.C.).
