High-velocity vacuum and pressure relief valve Gases / Liquids

Storagetech’s innovative high velocity pressure vacuum valve (also referred to as a high velocity pressure vacuum relief valve or PVV), model number 170, is a safety device that reduces evaporation in cargo tanks. It is designed to prevent excessive pressure and vacuum conditions in the tank atmosphere. Thus, when the air pressure exceeds the preset pressure vacuum vent setting, the pallets open, moving the seal away between the gasket and the pallet, and discharge any excessive positive pressure. In addition, they are generally mounted on a flange or piping connected to the vapor space of a cargo tank. In this respect, the vent can be adjusted according to your specifications, so that the pallet assemblies in the housings open when specific pressure and vacuum levels are reached. Storagetech cargo vents operate automatically. Unlike the open tank free venting system, it controls the cargo tank venting system. Storagetech high velocity pressure vacuum valves are specifically designed for the harsh offshore conditions. The valve body and internal components are manufactured completely from SS316 stainless steel, minimizing the effect of corrosion. The highly technical design assists smooth operation during navigation. The special loaded magnet design keeps the set pressure at the required value and opens immediately, releasing vapor above the ship surface. This jet release mechanism prevents any vapor accumulation on the ship surface and creates safe operation. The Storagetech high velocity PVV can safely operate down to -25ºC and the manual lifting handle helps break ice on both the pressure and vacuum sides.
